Work in progress Star Light inspired by Queen Elizabeth II and David Bowie

Getting excited went to the metal shop today my light is coming together. From a mini paper model to a larger model it has now been formed in aluminium and next to the spray shop and then a bit of bling.

Maltings Makers Textile Network installation for Thread

Just got back from hanging our installation for Thread...a festival of Textiles at the Farnham Maltings and despite the wind, rain and grey skies it looks amazing. Please pop down and take a gander.
The Maltings Makers Textiles Network will have their stand on the stage in the main hall this year. It's going to be a textile treasure trove of haberdashery....looking forward to seeing you on the 24th September!

It's coming to that time again, when we will be doing another show at the Indépendant hotel show #Appleofamber

It's coming to that time again, when I will be doing another show with my group at the Indépendant hotel show #Appleofamber #olympia. Over 1 month to go and I'm in the mist of creating new pieces.
Making prototypes and experimenting with ideas. #workinprogress.

Craft Cafe Fabric Moulding Workshop

Hello Crafters,
We will be running our next workshop, with the lovely Jan Mattinson. Who will doing a class using a medium called powertex, you will create your own amazing fabric sculpture. We will be making are very own outdoor plaque using a small vinyl record and other materials .Absolutely no experience is necessary to create beautiful, unique weather resistant art.
What is powertex?
Powertex is a highly versatile product that makes most porous surfaces hard and weather resistant. This amazing product gives form and structure to cloth, paper, wood, gauze, concrete, plush toys, cardboard and more.
Please wear old clothes as powertex is a fabric hardener. Jan will provide plastic gloves and aprons.
The workshop will run on Thursday 29th September at Craft Cafe in Camberley 7.30pm to 10.00pm.
St Mary's Church, Park Road, Camberley, GU15 2SR
We take a pre-payment before the class and this will include admission into craft café and all material costs.
Make your payment to camberleycraftcafe@yahoo.co.uk through your own PayPal account please put your name as reference. If you don't have a PayPal account then get in touch and we can discuss another form of payment before the class.
Workshop is £10.00
